Termination without tears

Terminating an employee would have to be one of the most challenging people management issues employers face, but it doesn’t have to end in tears.

The reasons for letting an employee go can range from continual poor performance and disciplinary matters to redundancy or termination for serious misconduct. And, because every situation is different it’s important that you follow a legally compliant process when ending an employment relationship – failing to do so may expose your business to some unwanted risks such as general protections or unfair dismissal claims.
